PLANNING is a private architecture studio founded in 1993. PLANNING’s founder, CEO and chief designer is architect Ilian Iliev.
During the years the design team is constantly evolving and growing its numbers. PLANNING has managed to become one of the leading architecture and design studios in Bulgaria. Today in the team there are 25 architects and engineers.
The long years of experience in the market guarantee the quality of the team’s work, proofed by numerous domestic and foreign prizes, among which are 11 “Building of the year” recognitions.
PLANNING’s works are different in scale and funcion - from private residential bulidings to multipurpose complexes. In Bulgaria, the studio is among the few that specializes in design of public buildings. The team is pioneer in the country when it comes to largre retail builgins. Bulgaria’s very first contemporary retail complex - City Center Sofia(now konwn as Park Center), that opened in May 2006 is designed by PLANNING, without any help from foreign teams or adaptations.
The most recognisable structures, by the studio are: City Center Sofia, recently reconstructed to Park Center Sofia, The Mall, Paradise Center Sofia (interior), Burgas Plaza, City Mall in Stara Zagora, Largo Mall in Blagoevgrad, European Trade Center Complex, BSR Sofia, Advance Business Center, Balkan Business Center, Buildings 3 and 4 and Levski Arena in Garitage Park and many others.
